The Investor Group on Climate Change
We are the Investor Group on Climate Change, an industry group including Australia’s top super funds and investors.
Our members take care of retirement savings for 14.8 million Australian workers. We have a duty to look after your best financial interests, and our message is simple: climate action pays off.
We’re advocating for a faster, fair and well-planned rollout of clean energy technologies so that Australia can create more jobs, lower the cost of living, and future-proof our economy to deliver the best financial outcome for working and retired Australians.
Australia has already seen 32,180 jobs created from the renewables rollout, and 115,100 in our critical minerals industry.
As our clean energy industries grow, workers will get access to thousands of career opportunities in communities where jobs are needed most. This will have a flow-on effect in local regions, resulting in more opportunities for generations to come.

Clean energy investment is expected to increase by 300% by 2030 (International Energy Agency, 2024). With the right policies and strong climate targets, Australia can attract more of this investment, grow our local clean energy industries and workforce, and secure the best financial outcomes for Australians.
